The Original Pimp My Ride

June 30, 2010

If I havn’t mentioned before, I’m a bit of a ghostbusters obsessive and every now and again this comes out in the odd picture. This time around I’ve focused on the amazing ecto-1, possibly my most favourite car in the world! It’s made from a souped up 1959 Cadillac hearse,in fact the rack they would roll the proton packs out on was originally used to carry bodies about, interesting!

Ok here’s my painting!

cool yea? I’m actually chuffed with it,I’m still weighing up whether or not to keep it or let it find a new home. anyways, as further proof of my ghostbuster love, I found this a wee while ago in an old photo album, it’s me (and all my friends) on my 4th birthday, and as you can see on the left is my prized and dearly missed ecto-1.

Well that’s it for today I’m afraid, can I just thank the nice people who wrote back in reply to my postcards, It’s such a relief to get mail from real people :)

take care!

(and yes, that is a ninja turtles cake).

I am not weird. honest.

Ok, i know what you’re thinking and it’s probably something along the lines of ‘neil, how can you possibly even remember two dreams a week never mind dreaming your a ghostbuster at least twice a week?’
And my answer to that would be “I really don’t know, I just do.”
It’s probably mostly to do with me being a ghostbuster nut from an earyl age and its never really left me, also maybe partly because beside my bed is a shelf of some of my robots and toys etc and on that shelf my prized ecto-1 model which is usually the last thing I see before I go to sleep.
But the strange thing is,these dreams are rarely about exciting stuff like blowing up a marshmallow man or riding the statue of liberty, they’re usually a bit tedious, for example the last one i remember was where I was hanging out with Winston and i remember thinking ‘aw crap,i forgot where i parked the car’.

Hope nobody thinks im a complete loony!

take care

I Have Too Many Toys :/

October 1, 2009

Hello!
It seems to be kind of an ‘In’ thing for artists to share with the public what their studio looks like or where they work from, well, my rooms a tip so I’m just going to show off my toy collection :)

yea i know im 22 and it’s a bit sad to have a toy collection but they do serve as somewhat of an inspiration and its handy for still life class to bring in a massive optimus prime rather than a moldy piece of fruit!
Along with optimus i have some more transformers, some original star wars robots, some wind up tin robots,an etco-1 model kit i painted and put together myself(totally geeky i know) a limited edition noferin toy (only 200 worldwide) some munnys, and some other bits and bobs if found or been given :)

I actually just recently got given a massive gundam robot from japan, unfortunately its in 200 bits and has no instructions, doh!

thanks for reading!
